Cedar Ridge Custom Home

New construction on a sloped lot, with the foundation stepped to the grade instead of cutting the site flat.

Cedar Ridge Custom Home

Project Overview

The lot fell about fourteen feet across the building envelope. Rather than mass excavate and haul, we stepped the foundation and used the grade change to give the lower level daylight on two sides.

Framing, mechanical and finish work ran on a fixed schedule set at contract. The owner selected finishes ahead of framing, which is what kept the back half of the job from stalling.

  • Stepped foundation, minimal export
  • Lower level daylight on two elevations
  • Finish selections locked before framing started
